Prime Strategy Co., Ltd. (CEO: Kengyu Nakamura, Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan. Referred to below as “Prime Strategy”) announced the release of KUSANAGI for Vagrant, bringing its KUSANAGI virtual machine to the Vagrant automated virtual environment configuration tool.
KUSANAGI, developed by Prime Strategy, is one of the world’s fastest CMS execution environments, bringing WordPress execution time to fewer than four milliseconds, and enabling 1,000 page requests/second without page caching. Up until now, KUSANAGI has been available on 24 platforms, and many different cloud environments. Now, it can also be deployed on Vagrant, which automates processes for setting up a virtual environment, using virtualization software that can be run locally.
As a result, KUSANAGI can now be deployed easily on Windows and other local environments. Web authors, cloud integrators, and other developers can automate deployment of KUSANAGI as a development environment, and use it locally and offline. In July, 2018, Prime Strategy also plans to offer an interface for deploying from a local KUSANAGI environment to a remote one, which will make deploying to a cloud production environment even easier than it is now.

With an easy-to-use workflow and focus on automation, Vagrant lowers development environment setup time and increases production parity. It provides easy to configure, reproducible, and portable work environments built on top of industry-standard technology and controlled by a single consistent workflow. With a quad-core (4vCPU) virtual machine, WordPress processes commands in under 4 milliseconds, and can handle over 1,000 requests per second, even without page caching. With page caching, and a 4vCPU, KUSANAGI can handle over 60,000 page requests per second.

Currently, Prime Strategy only provides support for VirtualBox with KUSANAGI for Vagrant. Although support is not offered for Vagrant itself, KUSANAGI deployments in the Vagrant environment that followed the formal setup procedure are officially supported.
