Following the December 15, 2022 launch of KUSANAGI 9 for CentOS Stream 9, we now offer KUSANAGI 9 for AlmaLinux OS 9 (Business Edition) on Azure and AWS.
About AlmaLinux OS and CentOS Stream versions
Currently, there are two operating systems available for KUSANAGI 9: CentOS Stream and AlmaLinux OS.
CentOS Stream is a Linux distribution offered as an upstream of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). RHEL 9 is provided based on the development of CentOS Stream 9.
KUSANAGI’s CentOS Stream-based version can be updated as soon as possible after thorough verification. Therefore, KUSANAGI is developed for development, verification, and non-commercial use, as well as for commercial use.
AlmaLinux OS is a Linux distribution that is fully based with RHEL. AlmaLinux OS 9 is provided based on RHEL 9 . AlmaLinux OS is suitable for commercial environments because of its long support period and stability. Therefore, the AlmaLinux OS-based version of KUSANAGI is developed mainly as a paid version for long-term stable use in a commercial environment.
About KUSANAGI Editions
KUSANAGI is available in the following three editions depending on the application and scale.
Free Edition
This is a personal use version for those who want to try KUSANAGI for free and can use the standard features of KUSANAGI.
Business Edition
This is a paid version of KUSANAGI for business use. It supports WordPress and various module updates from repositories up to EOL of supported OS.
Premium Edition
KUSANAGI is a paid top-end version of KUSANAGI for business use. It can be used for large scale media sites, large scale corporate sites, large scale educational sites, etc. All KUSANAGI features are available. All KUSANAGI features are available, including the WEXAL® Page Speed Technology® web acceleration engine for multi-layered optimization for faster display speeds.

Google Cloud Platform (GCP) only offers a CentOS Stream 8-based version, but we plan to gradually roll out the CentOS Stream 8-based version starting with the AlmaLinux OS 8-cbased version.
In addition, in order to make KUSANAGI 9 available to as many people as possible, we will promote cloud deployment and expand support functions for migration between versions.
